Tiago Ilori has claimed that he hopes to earn more first-team minutes under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The defender made his Reds debut, almost two-and-a-half years after joining the club from Sporting Lisbon, in Friday's 2-2 draw with Exeter City in the third round of the FA Cup.
Ilori was sent out on loan to Aston Villa in the summer by former manager Brendan Rodgers, but the deal was cancelled last week following numerous injury problems to the team's defence.
After making his debut, Ilori told the Liverpool Echo: "I'd waited a long time for that and I loved it. It was a dream come true. Hopefully there will be more minutes to come for me in a Liverpool shirt.
"I'm pleased to be back. This is where I feel most comfortable. This is my parent club. I love being here.
"It's been a frustrating season for me so far but I tend not to look back. I try to learn from the positive things and look forward."
Liverpool's next game is a Premier League clash against Arsenal at Anfield on Wednesday.
