Divock Origi proved the hero for Liverpool after coming off the bench to rescue a 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

It had been a frustrating evening for the hosts for large parts, as Albion remained defensively compact to thwart their opponents in the final third.

Adam Lallana had one big chance to pull his side level, having seen Jordan Henderson's earlier opener made redundant by Craig Dawson and Jonas Olsson goals, but he struggled to find a way past Boaz Myhill in the West Brom goal.

With six minutes of added time played Origi did eventually find a way through, however, to ensure that the spoils were shared in an entertaining match on Merseyside.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look back at who stood out during Liverpool's latest underwhelming home display.

LIVERPOOL

Goal

Simon Mignolet: Never looked assured throughout the match and was caught out for the Baggies' opener. Liverpool have made more defensive mistakes than any other side in Europe's top five leagues, with Mignolet making six of them. (4/10)

Defence

Nathaniel Clyne: One of those who has made good strides under Jurgen Klopp, providing plenty of attacking width down the right. Maybe could have done better to clear the danger after Mignolet fumbled. (6/10)

Martin Skrtel: Liverpool shipped three goals from set-piece deliveries, one of which was ruled out by a late offside flag. Defenders never looked like they truly knew who to pick up when the ball came into the box. (5/10)

Dejan Lovren: Saw a header deflect wide, but his evening was cut short by what appears to be a nasty knee injury. Left the field on a stretcher, which is a real blow after starting the last seven Prem games. (6/10)

Alberto Moreno: Like Clyne on the opposite side, Moreno was certainly not shy to get into advanced positions. Delivery was impressive, too, but Benteke failed to take advantage more times than not. (7/10)

Midfield

Adam Lallana: His assist for Henderson's opener, leaping above Brunt to nod the ball down, shows exactly what he is capable of inside the box. Should have done better with one-on-one chance when his side were trailing late on. (7/10)

Emre Can: Liverpool's deepest midfielder before being moved to centre-back when Lovren was stretchered off. Another inconsistent display, which contained the odd piece of quality. (6/10)

Philippe Coutinho: A return to league action following a couple of games out, the Brazilian played a big part in the opener but had three weak attempts in the first half. Was later withdrawn after fading out of the match. (6/10)

Jordan Henderson: Needs to add goals to his game, with today's sweet finish proving that he does have the ability to help out in terms of goalscoring. Gambled when pushing forward and found himself positioned perfectly for first league goal since April. (7/10)

James Milner: You always know that you will get non-stop running from the midfielder, but his display was lacking in quality overall. A few wayward strikes and a knock picked up to add to his misery. (5/10)

Attack

Christian Benteke: A mixed showing overall, with some positive aspects to his game - mainly winning defensive headers - but also frustratingly sloppy in attack at times. (6/10)

Substitutes

Jordon Ibe: Recovered from illness to come off the bench, providing some additional width and getting in one shot of note. (6/10)

Divock Origi: Brought on 10 minutes from time to grab a goal, which he managed to bag thanks to a small piece of good luck. If you don't buy a ticket... (8/10)

Roberto Firmino: No doubt frustrated to have been on the bench from the off. Difficult to remember him having a touch when finally being introduced. (5/10)

WEST BROMWICH ALBION

Goal

Boaz Myhill: Could do little with either goal, really, and also produced one big stop to deny Lallana when played clean through. (7/10)

Defence

Craig Dawson: Defended well down the right flank all evening and also popped up with a goal. Had Mignolet to thank for the fumble, yet he was positioned well to capitalise. (7/10)

Gareth McAuley: May have conceded twice, but McAuley was a huge presence at the back for the Baggies. Stood strong for large parts and even provided a threat from set pieces up the other end. (8/10)

Jonas Olsson: Won his personal battle with Benteke by some distance, while also finding the net twice. First was correctly ruled out - eventually - but was not to be denied a second time when heading home 15 minutes from the end. (8/10)

Chris Brunt: Set-piece delivery was superb, particularly for Olsson's goal. Was caught out at the back when allowing Lallana to out-jump him for Henderson's strike, though. (7/10)

Midfield

James McClean: Had to help out a fair bit defensively, which he did successfully enough. Maybe could have sprung forward a little more at times. (6/10)

Darren Fletcher: Did well enough on the whole, though he did let a couple of players get away from him on the edge of the box. (6/10)

Craig Gardner: Another who made a big impact when it came to dead-ball deliveries, sending in the cross which led to Mignolet's howler in the first half. (7/10)

Jonny Evans: Pushed into defensive midfield to provide an additional shield in front of the back four. His work was largely to thank for Liverpool's numerous shots from range, with the hosts firing in 28 attempts in all. (6/10)

James Morrison: A threat going forward and also sprayed some fine passes around the field, but was too often out of the picture when balls arrived in and around the box from the opposite side. (6/10)

Attack

Salomon Rondon: His assist aside, Rondon rarely got himself on the ball. Can hardly be blamed for that, of course, with the game being played almost exclusively in the opposite half. Did miss one key chance with his side 2-1 ahead. (6/10)

Substitutes

Rickie Lambert: Brought on in the dying stages, prior to Liverpool finding their second of the match, but he could not make an impact on his former hunting ground. (5/10)
