Liverpool head coach Arne Slot will have to contend with the absence of one of his key defensive cogs for Sunday's Premier League battle with Manchester City at Anfield.
The Reds lost both Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate to late injuries in their 2-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid in midweek, the former potentially hurting his hamstring and the latter struggling with a leg problem.
Konate appeared to be much worse for wear at the final whistle, and he has now taken to social media to suggest that he is indeed facing a spell on the sidelines.
As a result, Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah should battle it out to start in Konate's place on Sunday, and as the former replaced Konate at half time against Brighton & Hove Albion when he hurt his shoulder earlier this month, he should get Slot's nod.
Bradley's concern is not so worrying thanks to Trent Alexander-Arnold's recovery from a hamstring problem; the Englishman is primed to rejoin fellow regulars Caoimhin Kelleher, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson at the back.
Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister are immovable in midfield, but Slot will no doubt consider one of his regular rotations in recent weeks, potentially swapping Curtis Jones out for Dominik Szoboszlai.
Cody Gakpo's header versus Real Madrid has given the Reds coach some food for thought up front too, but Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah should all retain their places from the off.
Federico Chiesa (fitness), Diogo Jota (abdominal), Alisson Becker (hamstring) and Kostas Tsimikas (ankle) are all ruled out by injury.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Nunez
