Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is expected to be passed fit for Monday's pre-season friendly against Bundesliga new boys SV Darmstadt 98 at Deepdale.
The Argentina international was withdrawn at half time in the Reds' recent loss to Bayern Munich due to a clash of knees, which left him with a significant bruise.
However, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that a bruise was all that Mac Allister was suffering from, and the ex-Brighton & Hove Albion man should be fine to line up here after that precautionary withdrawal.
While Mac Allister should be good to go, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are still recovering from their groin operations, leaving Klopp short of midfield cover once again.
Assuming he is fit enough, Mac Allister will likely be thrown straight back into the first XI alongside Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai, as Liverpool continue to scour the transfer market for a successor to Fabinho.
Mohamed Salah is a surefire starter, and Luis Diaz ought to return over Diogo Jota after scoring against Bayern, but Cody Gakpo's spot may come under threat from Darwin Nunez, despite his own contribution to that seven-goal extravaganza.
With Monday's clash representing Liverpool's final tune-up fixture, a full-strength backline of Ibrahima Konate, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson and new captain Virgil van Dijk should shield Alisson Becker.
Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Jones, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
