Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Liverpool vs. Manchester City.

Aston Villa vs. Spurs (Sunday, 1.00pm)

A pivotal battle in the Premier League's top-four race commences at Villa Park on Sunday lunchtime, as Aston Villa welcome Tottenham Hotspur to their West Midlands base.

The Lions return to top-flight action on the back of a 0-0 Europa Conference League draw with Ajax, while the Lilywhites came from a goal down to beat Crystal Palace 3-1 last weekend.

We say: Aston Villa 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Aston Villa scoring at home is almost always a safe bet, and the Ollie Watkins-inspired Lions should not lose their golden Villa Park streak here, even if fatigue from Thursday's exertions sets in.

While Tottenham will no doubt arrive in better physical condition, Postecoglou's men are yet to rediscover their best form and have a habit of falling short on rival territory, so we can envisage Villa retaining control of the top-four race in an exhilarating stalemate.

Brighton vs. Nott'm Forest (Sunday, 2.00pm)

On the back of a disheartening three-game losing run away from home, Brighton & Hove Albion make a much-needed return to Amex territory on Sunday, hosting relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The Seagulls were destroyed 4-0 by Roma in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash on Thursday, while the Tricky Trees took a late punch to the gut in a 1-0 loss to Liverpool last weekend.

We say: Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest did themselves proud against the league leaders last weekend and carved out their fair share of opportunities to score themselves, only to be let down by poor finishing or thwarted by Caoimhin Kelleher.

Brighton's recent attacking performances have left a lot to be desired too, but the hosts almost always find a way to win points in front of the Amex faithful, and a rejigged Seagulls outfit have our vote to return to triumphant ways.

West Ham vs. Burnley (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two claret-clad teams will both endeavour to react to recent losses when West Ham United welcome Burnley to the London Stadium in Sunday's Premier League battle.

The Irons went down 1-0 to Freiburg in the opening leg of their Europa League last-16 battle on Thursday, while Vincent Kompany's men suffered a 2-0 reverse at the hands of Bournemouth last weekend.

We say: West Ham United 3-0 Burnley

An all-too familiar sight on the road awaits Burnley supporters, who have witnessed their side ship a trio of goals in each of their last four Premier League away games, and recent history looks likely to repeat itself on Sunday.

West Ham's renewed golden touch may have eluded them in midweek, but fuelled by a perceived sense of injustice over the last-minute penalty decision which went against them, Moyes's men should encounter few obstacles en route to a third Premier League win on the bounce.

Liverpool vs. Man City (Sunday, 3.45pm)

For the final time in the Premier League, Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City's Pep Guardiola will share a warm embrace on the Anfield touchline on Sunday afternoon, before the first whistle blows in their tantalising top-flight battle.

Only one place and one point separates the two titans after 27 games of the 2023-24 season, although Arsenal could knock both sides down a spot before Sunday's headline encounter commences.

We say: Liverpool 1-2 Manchester City

While Liverpool have so far proven infallible at Anfield this season, several factors are working against Klopp's side - including an unenviable injury list and limited recovery time from an away game in Europe - and the hosts conceded numerous gilt-edged chances to Sparta Prague even with a strong XI on the field.

Given the Reds' propensity to ship goals at Anfield, a Man City side boasting fresher legs and a perfect road record in 2024 have our vote to capitalise on their hosts' fatigue, deny Klopp an unbeaten farewell season at home and wrestle back control of the Premier League title race.
