Inter Milan have recorded a 3-2 win over Liverpool in their NextGen Group 5 encounter at the Centro Sportivo Facchetti.
It was the Italians who started the better and they took the lead after 16 minutes when Francesco Forte darted into the Liverpool box before scoring from close range.
The Reds were back level just past the 30-minute mark, however, when Krisztian Adorjan converted from the penalty spot after he had been felled in the box.
Inter were back ahead five minutes before the break when Niccolo Belloni finished off a sweeping move with a tidy finish.
The second period brought few chances for either side, but the Italian club added a third late on through Luca Garritano to extend their lead.
Liverpool added a late strike through Adorjan, but it was not enough as Inter claimed their first win of the campaign.
