Luis Diaz has returned to the Liverpool squad for Sunday's Premier League clash with Luton Town, occupying a place on the bench at Kenilworth Road.
The Colombia international has missed the Reds' last two games against Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth following his parents' kidnap, although his mother was released last weekend.
The guerrilla group responsible for Diaz parents' kidnapping have now confirmed that the attacker's father will soon be released, and he has been given the green light to return to the substitutes list after training this week.
Jurgen Klopp has otherwise made just the one change to his lineup from last weekend's success over the Tricky Trees, as Joe Gomez starts at left-back over Kostas Tsimikas, while Ben Doak is back in the squad after a muscle injury.
Meanwhile, Luton boss Rob Edwards has also kept faith with 10 of the 11 players who started last weekend's 3-1 loss to Aston Villa, but there is a significant change in the attacking third.
Former Everton winger Andros Townsend will make his full debut for the Hatters after coming off the bench against Forest and Villa, as Jacob Brown drops down to the dugout.
