A number of Australian clubs have allegedly been offered the opportunity to sign Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge.
The 29-year-old has been contracted to the Merseyside giants for nearly six-and-a-half years, but the England international is likely to leave Anfield on a free transfer this summer.
Sturridge will not be short of offers, and Fox Sports' executive producer Murray Shaw has claimed that Brisbane Roar - now managed by Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler - could be one of a number of A-League sides to show an interest.
Shaw told the Fox Football Podcast: "One name I will throw up, and I know this player has been offered to several A-League clubs already, is Daniel Sturridge.
"I wouldn't be at all surprised if the phone call is made from Robbie Fowler to bring someone like Daniel Sturridge down as a marquee next season."
Sturridge has made just six starts for Liverpool in all competitions this season.
