Liverpool have expressed an interest in signing Sheffield United youngster David Brooks, according to reports.
The midfielder has spent the past three years at with the Blades after being released by Manchester City and is highly rated at Bramall Lane.
Brooks has made 11 appearances for United this season and claimed two assists, his impressive form and progress rewarded with a call-up to the senior Wales team earlier this week.
According to the Sunday People, Liverpool are monitoring the talented 20-year-old, but may face competition from Merseyside rivals Everton for his signature.
Brooks signed an updated contract with the Championship side earlier this year but is believed to be considering a bumper new deal as the club aims to battle for promotion to the Premier League.
