Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has claimed that a move to Anfield would be "good" for Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze.
The German World Cup winner is expected to leave the Allianz Arena this summer.
The 23-year-old, who has one year left on his contract, struggled to cement a regular spot in Pep Guardiola's Bayern side this season.
Both Liverpool and Gotze's former club Borussia Dortmund are believed to be interested in signing him, but Can believes that Merseyside is the right destination.
"At Bayern he is lacking a bit of confidence which is understandable," The Metro quotes Can as saying. "A move to Liverpool would be good for Mario.
"Jurgen Klopp has shown this season how much trust he puts in young players. German players are popular in the Premier League. The fans would be very happy to see more German players in the Premier League."
Gotze played under Klopp for four years when the pair were at Dortmund.
