Liverpool have reportedly ended their interest in Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly.
Despite missing out on the player last summer, recent speculation has linked the Premier League champions with the versatile 21-year-old.
However, according to The Athletic, sporting director Michael Edwards has pulled the plug on any proposal which may have been made to the Cherries.
The report says that Edwards was left unhappy with the conduct of Kelly's representatives during talks between the parties 12 months ago.
Liverpool instead look likely to sign Jamal Lewis from Norwich City, providing that they can reach an agreement with the recently-relegated club.
Lewis may eventually cost in the region of £20m, significantly more than what would have been required to sign Kelly.
