Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out the possibility of launching an approach for Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne.
The Merseyside giants are expected to be active during the summer transfer window, and Insigne has been suggested as a potential addition ahead of next season.
The Italy international has also indicated that he may be open to a new challenge, but Klopp has insisted that the Premier League side are not in the running for the attacker's signature.
At a press conference, the German told reporters: "We will not sign Lorenzo Insigne. He's a very good player, but I guess he has a long-term contract at Napoli and we will not even try."
Insigne still has three years remaining on his deal with Napoli, where he has spent his entire professional career.
