Liverpool are reportedly close to signing Sampdoria's goalkeeper Sergio Romero in a deal worth £1.6m.
Brendan Rodgers has been linked with the Argentine goalkeeper for a while, and the two clubs have now agreed a deal for Romero's services, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Rodgers will also be looking to find a quality back-up keeper to Simon Mignolet after selling Pepe Reina to Bayern Munich.
Romero helped his national side reached the FIFA World Cup final, where they lost to Germany after extra time.
