Liverpool have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Barcelona for the sale of midfielder Philippe Coutinho this month.
Barca made three bids for the Brazilian during the summer, but Liverpool held firm in their refusal to sell their star asset despite the player handing in a transfer request at Anfield.
However, news broke earlier this evening that the two clubs had come to terms on a £142m deal to take the 25-year-old to Camp Nou, and Liverpool have now confirmed the agreement on their official website.
"Liverpool FC can confirm Philippe Coutinho will be leaving the club after a transfer agreement was reached with FC Barcelona, subject to medical and agreement of personal terms," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The player now has permission to complete the usual formalities to conclude the transfer immediately."
Coutinho joined Liverpool from Inter Milan in 2013 for just £8.5m and went on to make 201 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 54 goals.
