Liverpool have reportedly decided against a move for Werder Bremen forward Max Kruse ahead of the new season.
The Reds had been linked with a swoop for the 31-year-old, who scored 12 times and registered 14 assists in 36 appearances for Bremen during the 2018-19 campaign.
Kruse will be leaving the German club on a free transfer this summer, which has led to a host of speculation surrounding the centre-forward's future.
However, according to the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp's side will not be making a move for the German due to Divock Origi's form in the latter stages of last season and the presence of talented youngster Rhian Brewster at Anfield.
The Merseyside giants, though, continue to be strongly linked with a move for Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes, who helped Portugal win the UEFA Nations League title at the weekend.
