Liverpool are reportedly in pole position to sign PSV Eindhoven attacker Donyell Malen this summer.
The 22-year-old has again been in impressive form for the Red and Whites during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 23 times and registering eight assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.
Malen spent two years in Arsenal's youth system between 2015 and 2017 before leaving for PSV, and the Netherlands international has now scored 51 times in 110 outings for his current club.
A number of teams, including Juventus and AC Milan, are said to be interested in the attacker, while Barcelona are thought to be admirers of his talents.
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool are at the head of the queue for the Dutchman, with the Reds prepared to match PSV's €30m (£26m) asking price during this summer's transfer window.
Malen has netted 15 times in 26 Eredivisie outings this term, while he also found the back of the net on five occasions in eight Europa League appearances. body check tags ::
