Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Sporting Lisbon teenager Joao Carlos Teixeira for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The 19-year-old Portuguese youth international has linked up with Liverpool's academy squad.
He has joined the club having impressed Liverpool scouts during a NextGen series in August.
Teixeira failed to make a first-team appearance for Sporting.
