Liverpool have made a £22m bid for Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev, according to reports.
The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Villarreal, and scored four times in La Liga.
The Russian is unlikely to be a first-team regular next season, and new manager Rafael Benitez could cash in, reports The People.
The report claims that Liverpool could send Jordon Ibe back out on loan if they manage to sign Cheryshev as they do not want to stunt his development.
Cheryshev has been on the books at Madrid since 2002.
