Liverpool are reportedly at the head of the queue for Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri.
Seri was strongly linked with Barcelona last summer, but the move broke down at the final moment, with Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere claiming that the Spanish giants had pulled out of the deal.
Manchester United have since been credited with an interest in the Ivory Coast international, who has scored once and registered six assists in 32 appearances for his Ligue 1 club this season.
However, according to The Sun, it is Liverpool that lead the hunt as head coach Jurgen Klopp looks to secure a replacement for Emre Can, with the German's contract expiring in June.
Naby Keita will arrive at Anfield from RB Leipzig this summer, but the report says that Klopp is also desperate to sign Seri as he looks to put together a squad capable of challenging on all fronts next season.
The 26-year-old scored seven goals in 39 appearances for Nice during the 2016-17 campaign.
