Liverpool are reportedly not in the running to sign Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz despite the recent speculation surrounding the Germany international.
The Reds are said to be determined to bring the 20-year-old, who scored 20 times in 42 appearances for Leverkusen last season, to Anfield in next summer's transfer window.
However, according to Bild, Jurgen Klopp's side are not in the hunt for the attacker, who will instead choose between Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid as his next club.
As a result, Liverpool could switch their attention to Napoli's Fabian Ruiz, with the midfielder impressing since arriving in Italian football from Real Betis last summer.
Havertz - contracted to Die Werkself until the summer of 2022 - has scored twice in four outings for his Bundesliga club during the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.
