Jordan Henderson has reportedly been handed a new contract by Liverpool.
The 24-year-old's current deal, which is thought to be worth around £65,000 a week, is due to expire in the summer of 2016.
However, Liverpool are keen to retain the midfielder's services beyond that point and have rewarded him for his recent development with the offer of fresh terms that would see him pick up an improved £80,000 a week, according to the Daily Mail.
The report adds that Henderson's new deal would run until 2019.
The England international signed on at Anfield for a reported £20m fee from Sunderland in 2011.
