Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly renewed his long-standing interest in Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
Rodgers is believed to be a long-term admirer of the young Greek international, but decided against a bid earlier this summer over fitness concerns.
With the defender now targeting full fitness after rehabilitating from a knee injury, Rodgers is considering a £12m bid for the 21-year-old, according to The Mirror.
The Reds added Kolo Toure to their defensive ranks earlier this summer, but still want further options following the retirement of Jamie Carragher.
Central defensive duo Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel have both been persistently linked with moves away from Anfield during the summer, prompting Rodgers to consider fresh additions to his rearguard.
