Liverpool are reportedly in pole position to sign Lille midfielder Renato Sanches this summer.
The 23-year-old spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan with Swansea City in the Premier League, but the Portugal international found it difficult to make his mark for the Welsh club.
Sanches has rediscovered his form at Lille, though, and Liverpool have been strongly linked with the midfielder over the last few months.
According to Calciomercato, the Portuguese 'seems destined' to represent the Reds next season, with Jurgen Klopp's side expected to beat Italian side AC Milan to his signature.
Sanches was a highly-rated youngster at Benfica but found it difficult to settle at Bayern Munich after a move to the Bundesliga giants in the summer of 2016.
The midfielder has scored once and provided one assist in 19 appearances for Lille during the 2020-21 campaign, including three outings in the Europa League.
