Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old is understood to have told officials at Anfield that he wants to leave the club this summer.
England international Sterling has two years remaining on his current deal at Liverpool.
Former Premier League champions Manchester City would be interested in bringing the youngster to the Etihad Stadium if he becomes available, according to Sky Sports News.
However, Blues manager Manuel Pellegrini recently distanced himself from rumours linking the club with Sterling.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers claimed on Friday that he expects Sterling to see out the remainder of his contract on Merseyside.
