Newcastle United have reportedly lodged a bid for FC Twente forward Luuk de Jong.
The 21-year-old Netherlands international is said to have attracted interest from a host of European clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, after scoring 30 goals for club and country last season.
Magpies boss Alan Pardew has tabled an offer of £8m for the player and Twente are considering the bid, according to Sky Sports News.
De Jong's current contract expires in 2014.
