Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that defender Andre Wisdom will spend next season on loan with West Bromwich Albion.
The 21-year-old spent most of last season with Derby County and helped Steve McClaren's side to the playoff final, where they were beaten 1-0 by Queens Park Rangers.
Wisdom featured in the Reds' pre-season victory over Preston North End today, and Rodgers revealed that the youngster will now join up with the Baggies to continue his development.
"After today, Andre is going to go on loan to West Brom," he told Liverpool's official website. "He had a very successful period at Derby last year, he did very well under Steve McClaren.
"He now has the opportunity to go to another very good coach in Alan Irvine, who I know from my youth days. He is an excellent coach and West Brom are an excellent club.
"West Brom have been a rising club for the last few years in the Premier League. He'll go there and it will be another chance for his education and development to continue."
Wisdom made 37 Championship appearances for Derby last term.
