Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has cast doubt on Lucas Leiva's rumoured move to Inter Milan.
The Brazilian was tipped to join the Serie A outfit during the January window, but the Reds boss has now said that he is unwilling to part with the midfielder.
"He is not one that we would want to lose in January. There will be speculation over the course of the month on a lot of players," the Daily Star quotes Rodgers as saying.
"It is not something I would be willing to do in January. Of course at the end of the season everything is looked at again but the team is in a good momentum.
"The team is in a good flow, we are starting to find our feet and players are starting to adapt and work really well so I don't need to disrupt them."
Meanwhile, Liverpool recently confirmed that they have recalled winger Jordan Ibe from his loan stint at Derby County.
