Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has backed Raheem Sterling to make it into England's squad for the World Cup if he keeps up his good form.
Sterling earned a recall to Roy Hodgson's squad for Wednesday's friendly against Denmark having impressed for Liverpool this season, helping the Reds to second in the Premier League table.
Agger is likely to come up against his club teammate in that match, and he was in no doubt that the 19-year-old has the temperament to succeed on the international stage.
"He can handle the pressure, or else he would not play for us, for Liverpool. It's a great opportunity for him," Aggers is quoted as saying by PA.
"If he continues what he is doing right now I cannot see why not [for the World Cup squad]. He is a great, great talent and has some qualities England can use."
Sterling, who has only made one appearance for England's senior side, has scored seven goals in 27 matches for Liverpool this season.
