Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has insisted that he is expecting to be fit for the World Cup next month.
The Egyptian forward, who has netted 32 times this season, was forced off after 30 minutes of the Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturday. Salah was brought down by Madrid defender Sergio Ramos in Kiev, and left the field in tears with concerns rising over the length of his injury.
However, Salah has taken to Twitter to express appreciation for the support he has received, while commenting on his World Cup future.
"It was a very tough night, but I'm a fighter," Salah tweeted.
"Despite the odds, I'm confident that I'll be in Russia to make you all proud. Your love and support will give me the strength I need."
The Reds winger holds the record for most goals scored in a single Premier League campaign.
