Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey will reportedly train with the England senior squad ahead of this Friday's World Cup qualifier against San Marino.
Manager Roy Hodgson is believed to have been impressed with the 20-year-old's performances for the Reds in the both the Premier League and the Europa League so far this season.
He is now keen to see the attacker up close and will call him up for training over the coming days, according to Goal.com.
Should Shelvey impress, he may be called up in place of Frank Lampard, who is said to be suffering with a knee problem.
