Mallorca striker Tomer Hemed has been ruled out for a number of months with an Achilles injury.
The Israeli international suffered the problem during Sunday's 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid and subsequent scans have shown that he has torn the tendon.
His absence means that Mallorca will be without their leading goalscorer for their must-win encounter against Real Valladolid next weekend. Should the Reds fail to claim maximum points, they will be relegated from La Liga.
Hemed has scored 11 goals this season.
