Goals from Sergio Aguero and James Milner have given Manchester City a 2-0 half-time lead away to CSKA Moscow in this evening's Group E clash in the Champions League.
The hosts threatened during the opening stages as Ahmed Musa and Zoran Tosic both fired off target with efforts from outside of the box.
City created a decent chance for themselves soon after when Yaya Toure fed Pablo Zabaleta out on the right, but the full-back could only lash his shot inches wide.
The away side then took the lead on 29 minutes through Aguero, who tapped in from Edin Dzeko's pass after the Bosnian had broken clear of the CSKA defence.
Things got even better for the Premier League champions with just seven minutes left in the half as an incisive attacking move ended with Milner sliding the ball home from an Aguero cross.
Milner almost scored again just moments later, but his shot came back off the woodwork.
