Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League clash with Sparta Prague on Wednesday.
Sports Mole

Manchester City welcome Czech champions Sparta Prague to the Etihad Stadium for their third match in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Citizens have picked up four points from their opening two fixtures in the newly-expanded Champions League, with a 0-0 opening draw with Inter Milan followed by a 4-0 victory away against Slovan Bratislava three weeks ago.

Pep Guardiola's side enter this contest with Sparta Prague on the back of claiming a 2-1 comeback victory away against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Sunday, extending their unbeaten start to the season to 12 matches.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of this match with their Czech-based opponents.

Rodri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Man City will be without influential midfielder Rodri for the rest of the season after he suffered knee ligament damage in a 2-2 draw with Arsenal last month.

Oscar Bobb

Status: Out
Type of injury: Leg fracture
Possible return date: Unknown

Oscar Bobb sustained a fracture to a bone in his leg during a training session in August and was ruled out for between three and four months, meaning he could be ready to return towards the end of this year.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 23 vs. Sparta Prague

Kevin De Bruyne has missed Man City's last six matches with a groin injury and although he has returned to training, Guardiola revealed after the win over Wolves that he does not expect the Belgian to return for Wednesday's Champions League match.

Kyle Walker

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: October 23 vs. Sparta Prague

Kyle Walker was not involved in City's win over Wolves after he was not deemed 'fully fit' following his return from international duty with England. Guardiola has since revealed that he does not expect the defender to return for Wednesday's Champions League match.

Nathan Ake

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: October 23 vs. Sparta Prague

Nathan Ake has not played in any of Man City's last eight games since suffering a muscle injury during September's international break. The defender watched on as an unused substitute against Wolves and has taken part in training since recovering from his injury, so he should be named in the matchday squad once again on Wednesday.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Manchester City have no suspended players for this match.
