Ashley Cole has said that Roma showed "belief" in coming from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw with Manchester City in their Champions League Group E game at the Etihad Stadium tonight.
Sergio Aguero gave the Citizens an early lead from the spot, but Francesco Totti levelled in the 23rd minute and became the competition's oldest ever goalscorer in doing so.
After the game, former Chelsea defender Cole hailed his team's resilience in gaining a crucial point away from home.
"It was a good performance after going 1-0 down so early in the game," Cole told BBC Sport.
"We had belief that we could get a result. Maybe we should have won? I don't know.
"We defended well. We came here to win and are a bit disappointed, but it's a good point for us."
Tonight's result leaves City in third place in Group E, three points adrift of Roma and five points behind leaders Bayern Munich, who made it two wins from two with a 1-0 victory at CSKA Moscow earlier this evening.
