Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish has been ruled out of Tuesday's Champions League tie with Sporting Lisbon due to a shin injury.
The 26-year-old was forced to miss the 4-0 win at Norwich City last weekend and he is now unavailable for the first leg of their last-16 tie in Portugal.
Speaking to the press ahead of their clash at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, Pep Guardiola revealed that Grealish's injury is not serious but he will not travel with the rest of the squad for tomorrow's game.
"[Grealish] is better, but for tomorrow he is not available, along with Cole Palmer and Gabriel (Jesus)," Guardiola told reporters on Monday.
The Spaniard has named a 22-man squad for their trip to the Portuguese capital, but along with Grealish, Palmer and Jesus, Kyle Walker has not been selected as he is serving a three-game suspension, following his red card in City's final group game against RB Leipzig.
Academy goalkeeper Cieran Slicker has been selected ahead of Zack Steffen, while Luke Mbete, James McAtee, Romeo Lavia, Liam Delap and Kayky are five more youngsters who will travel to Lisbon.
Nathan Ake, Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Oleksandr Zinchenko are among the defenders in the squad, while Kevin De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri and Bernardo Silva are five of seven midfielders selected by Guardiola.
Raheem Sterling, who scored a perfect hat-trick against Norwich last time out, is one of five forward named in City's squad, along with Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden.
