Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that Rodri could be absent for up to a month with a hamstring injury.
During the first half of the 5-1 victory over Atalanta BC in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Rodri was withdrawn after sustaining the issue when making a tackle in the penalty area.
While Guardiola has indicated that the midfielder may be ready to return at the beginning of November, he has acknowledged that his Spanish compatriot may face a longer spell on the sidelines.
Guardiola is quoted by the Manchester Evening News as saying: "Tomorrow we will know. Hopefully he will be between 10 days - if it's not broken. If it is broken it will be three weeks or one month."
As a result of his manager's assessment, Rodri is expected to miss the Premier League fixtures with Aston Villa and Southampton, as well as an EFL Cup tie with the latter.
