Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted that he was impressed with Sergio Aguero's response to missing two penalties against Steaua Bucuresti on Tuesday night.
Aguero squandered two opportunities from 12 yards during the opening 21 minutes of the game before netting a hat-trick as City ran out 5-0 winners in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier in Romania.
The 45-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "The fact he missed the penalties is part of the game but it was important that Sergio stayed focused and didn't get down. He focused on his game and after he scored three goals.
"It's not important how many times you fall down, it's how many times you stand up and try again."
Aguero now has four goals from his first two games this season after also netting a penalty against Sunderland on Saturday.
