Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has claimed that he and his teammates need to "make a statement" when they open their Champions League campaign against Juventus on Tuesday.
The North-West outfit are yet to progress past the last-16 stage of the tournament, but they have made a blistering start to the Premier League season having won five out of five.
"It's important to make a statement," Kompany said in today's press conference. "Everything has been so bright for us so far. We have to show our qualities.
"Every game has massive pressure. Everybody knows Juventus is a strong team - we'll be ready."
Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of the showdown due to a knee injury that he suffered during City's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
