Samir Nasri has said that it was important that Manchester City finish their home matches with a win after they beat Viktoria Plzen at the Etihad Stadium tonight.
City took the lead with a Sergio Aguero penalty, but were soon pegged back when Tomas Horava smashed in from long range.
Despite going 2-1 ahead when Nasri struck in the 66th minute, City were unable to keep out Plzen, who equalised again through Stanislav Tecl.
However, further goals from Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko won the points for the home side.
Speaking to Sky Sports News after the match, Nasri said: "It was a hard game, but the most important thing was to finish our home games in the group with a win."
City can still top Group D, but they will have to score at least three goals against Bayern Munich in Germany on the final match day.
