Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has expressed his belief that Frank Lampard's experience will help the club in the Champions League.
The 36-year-old joined Manuel Pellegrini's side on loan until January before he plays in the MLS with his new club New York City FC.
Nasri feels that Lampard's knowledge will be vital to help City reach the latter stages of Europe's top competition for the first time.
He told reporters: "We'll particularly benefit from having him in the Champions League because that's where we need to improve this year.
"He's a great player and any team will benefit from his experience. He's won it and I think he can help us. It's good that he's an English player too and we've had a little problem with that."
Lampard was part of the Chelsea side that won the Champions League in the 2011-12 season.
