UEFA have announced that Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has been charged following his criticism of referee Jonas Eriksson after his side's defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League.
The European governing body revealed yesterday that they would investigate the comments that he made following City's 2-0 defeat to Barca in the first leg of the round-of-16 tie on Tuesday.
It has now been announced that Pellegrini will face punishment for accusing Swedish match official Eriksson of favouring the Spanish giants during the encounter.
The Chilean coach apologised for his comments in Friday's press conference.
