Manuel Pellegrini has urged his Manchester City players to put in the sort of performance against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night that will change their reputation in Europe.
The Premier League outfit were outclassed by the Champions League holders when the two teams met at the Etihad Stadium in October, with the German giants easing to a 3-1 victory in Group D.
"It is very important to improve on what we did against Bayern at home," Pellegrini told reporters.
"We didn't play well in that game and all of us know why. We will try tomorrow to change the image that the team gave in that match."
Both City and Bayern have already qualified from Group D.
