Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has praised the depth of his squad following their 3-2 comeback win away at Bayern Munich this evening.
Bayern thrashed City at the Etihad Stadium earlier in the group stage, but the Blues were able to avenge the defeat after goals from David Silva, Aleksandar Kolarov and James Milner gave them victory in Germany.
"We wanted revenge for the first game and to show it was not that different between Bayern and our team," Pellegrini told reporters after the game.
"To win here and score three goals without Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero shows we have a very good squad also, so it's a very important victory."
City now turn their attention back to the Premier League as they face leaders Arsenal this weekend.
