Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has stated that the team will be boosted by the manner of their Champions League victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Premier League side scored three times in the final 12 minutes at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday to come from 2-1 down against the Bundesliga side and win 4-2 to finish top of Group D ahead of Juventus.
Sterling, who bagged two of the late City goals, has said that the team should look to emulate that level of performance when they return to league action against Swansea City this weekend.
"The results have not been going our way in the last few games and we were really trying to make it right," Sterling told the club's official website.
"It's a massive, massive lift obviously. The players that we got here we expect to win every game. Going into the game against Swansea, we know we can win the game and we just need to go out there and play our football, not really concentrate what's going on elsewhere in the league."
