Roma legend Francesco Totti believes that his side had the better opportunities in their Champions League clash with Manchester City on Tuesday night, and could have won the game.
Totti levelled for the Italian giants after they went behind to a Sergio Aguero penalty, and the Roma captain insists that his side played a better game than the Premier League champions.
"Looking at the whole 90 minutes, we had the better opportunities and could've won," Totti is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
"We went down straight away to a penalty and came back into it, which wasn't easy against one of the strongest teams in Europe. We proved what we are worth and what we can do in an arena like this.
"Our objective is to do our best, try to get through the group knowing it is not easy against sides like Bayern Munich and Manchester City, who are on our level if not better. Playing like this, we can get there."
Totti's goal made him the oldest ever Champions League scorer at 38, overtaking Ryan Giggs.
