Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has revealed that the club is eager to win the Champions League next season.
The Blues clinched their second Premier League title in three years on Sunday with a 2-0 win over West Ham United, but they have struggled in European competition in recent times.
City got past the group stage of the Champions League for the first time in four attempts last season before being knocked out by Barcelona in the last 16.
However, Zabaleta hopes that he and his teammates can go even further next year and be crowned European champions.
"We know how difficult it is to reach the final of the Champions League and win it. I think these players are thinking about it," the Argentine told the club's official website.
"Looking forward, it's a competition we are very excited about trying to win. The owners, everyone is looking forward to this. But step by step - for now, we need to celebrate this title, then we'll see next season."
Zabaleta scored one goal in 48 appearances for City last season.
