David Silva
Few would argue against David Silva topping a list of the most gifted players to ever don a Manchester City shirt, and the Spaniard's arrival in 2010 has played a huge role in the club going on to become a force domestically and abroad.
Having allegedly turned down Real Madrid and Barcelona to join City from Valencia, Silva quickly set about making a mockery of claims that he wouldn't be able to handle the physical nature of English football, helping City to the FA Cup trophy in his first season with the club.
The playmaker made 36 Premier League appearances the following season as City won the Premier League title in dramatic fashion, topping the league's assists charts, being named in the PFA Team of the Year and winning City's Players' Player of the Year award for his performances.
Another Premier League crown followed in 2014 as part of a double with the League Cup, and Silva won the latter trophy again two years later.
At the time of writing Silva has scored 51 goals in 306 appearances for City, while he has found the back of the net 39 times and laid on an additional 64 assists in 220 Premier League outings.
