Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed his delight after netting a hat-trick in Manchester City's 4-0 win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
The 19-year-old scored twice in the opening 24 minutes at Villa Park, before netting in the 74th minute as Man City ran riot on Saturday afternoon.
However, the striker has vowed to continue working hard in a bid to break into the first-team set-up on a regular basis.
"I'm happy. I'm so glad to score a hat-trick and I'm delighted as well," the teenager told the club's official website.
"It's a great day in my life, but it's not the greatest day of my life. I need to keep working hard every day, every training [session] and every game. This is the starting point of my career, I need to keep going."
Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini also praised Iheanacho for his performance in the fourth-round clash.
