Sports Mole looks at how Manchester City could line up in Sunday's FA Cup third-round clash with Birmingham City.

Manchester City will be looking to book their spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup when they welcome Birmingham City to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's side have been in strong form in recent weeks and advanced to the final of the EFL Cup courtesy of a 2-0 win away to Manchester United on Wednesday.

The Citizens will now be looking to return to winning ways in the FA Cup, having suffered a 2-0 loss to Arsenal in the semi-finals of last season's competition.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the home side could line up this weekend.

Out: Ederson (coronavirus), Eric Garcia (coronavirus), Ferran Torres (coronavirus), Tommy Doyle (coronavirus), Scott Carson (coronavirus), Cole Palmer (coronavirus)
Doubtful: Aymeric Laporte (hamstring), Nathan Ake (muscle)

Man City will again be without the services of Ederson, Eric Garcia, Ferran Torres, Tommy Doyle, Scott Carson and Cole Palmer this weekend through coronavirus.

Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake are struggling with injuries, meanwhile, meaning that there could be opportunities for a couple of youngsters on Sunday afternoon, including Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

Kyle Walker and Gabriel Jesus were both on the bench against Man United after recovering from coronavirus, and the former could return to the starting XI against Birmingham.

Benjamin Mendy is also likely to be handed a spot in the side, which could mean that Oleksandr Zinchenko is pushed further forward on the left.

Sergio Aguero will lead the home side's line on Sunday barring any late fitness issues, while a lack of options at the back could see in-form John Stones feature once again.
