Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

:Headline: Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace: ID:374961: from db_amp
Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace.

Manchester City head into their Premier League fixture with Crystal Palace sitting eight points adrift of leaders Liverpool.

Less than 24 hours after the Merseyside giants maintained their 100% record with a last-gasp spot kick against Leicester City, Pep Guardiola witnessed his side succumb to two late goals against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

City are now under pressure to put together a winning run, starting with a trip to in-form Palace who will move ahead of the defending champions with victory in London.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the meeting at Selhurst Park.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Guardiola made the decision not to risk De Bruyne against Wolves due to a groin problem. However, the Spaniard stated at the time that the playmaker would be ready to face Palace after the international break.

Leroy Sane

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Having sustained a serious knee injury against Liverpool in the Community Shield, Sane will not be back in contention until the early months of 2020.

Aymeric Laporte

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Laporte also suffered a knee injury in the weeks after Sane's setback. The Frenchman's recovery time is similar to his teammate's, although the centre-back is unlikely to be involved until February at the very earliest.

John Stones

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Palace)

Stones is currently in the final stages of his recovery from a muscle problem. However, City are yet to disclose whether the Englishman will be ready to return against Palace.

Benjamin Mendy

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Palace)

Mendy missed out against Wolves due to sustaining a groin problem in the days before the game. However, Guardiola expects the left-back to feature in his squad for the showdown against the Eagles.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

City have no players suspended ahead of this match.
